What do I specialise in?

I'm a Product Designer and visual problem solver based in beautiful Seattle, WA. I've spent most of my time designing for various consultancy companies across Europe and Asia, tackling consumer-facing projects that provided me with a deep dive into the nuances of digital product design — from user research and business design to service design and UX. My journey began in design at agencies like AKQA and TANG, and before joining the MHCI+D program, I worked as a Design Lead at Designest. Currently, I'm a Product Designer at J.D. Power, primarily creating products for car manufacturers.

Why I Love Design

The allure of design captivated me in 2012, during my sophomore year in college, while I was taking a course on education. Tasked with introducing traditional Chinese culture to elementary students, I chose to focus on Chinese shadow puppets—a cultural treasure at risk of being forgotten.

Seeking a more interactive course experience, I redesigned a traditional set of shadow puppets with modern elements and transformed these characters into an interactive tablet game. During the course with the kids, watching them joyfully learn about shadow puppetry through my designs was immensely fulfilling and highlighted the profound impact of design. This game application also earned me a first design award at a collegiate computer competition in that year.

Reflecting on this design today, despite its many flaws in practical application, visual and user interface design, it remains significant as my first foray into digital design.

I was fortunate to find my passion at a relatively young age, and post-graduation, I dove headfirst into the design field. I never confined myself to being just a visual designer, UX designer, or user researcher. Instead, I've immersed myself in different stages of the design process, always eager to learn more before producing design outputs. There's still much to learn, and I'm excited to continue this journey.
